Yang Yang Pan

Born in 1976, studied at the Sichuan Fine Art Institute, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts with honors in 1998, followed by a Master of Fine Arts in 2002. She remained as an instructor until 2006, when she immigrated to Canada.

Her work reflects her artistic journey and cultural experience, bridging both Western and Eastern influences. Rooted in the spirit of Oriental culture, she develops an abstract visual language that expresses her inspiration, drawn from natural optical cues, and infuses it with the spontaneity and emotional depth sourced from within.

Yangyang’s palette is rich with vibrant, high-key colors that delight the senses and add drama to her compositions. Her gestural abstract paintings have forged a vocabulary entirely her own—a unique blend of ideas, passion, and talent, emblematic of the global nature of contemporary art.

Her work has been exhibited across Canada, the U.S., Italy, and China, and she has been commissioned for numerous notable projects, including collaborations with Apple, Amour Vert, Holt Renfrew, and Anthropologie. Yangyang’s art is held in private, public, and corporate collections worldwide. She currently lives and works in Stouffville, Ontario, Canada.
